Covid 19 - Information 2022
If a parent or carer insists on a pupil with symptoms attending school where they have a confirmed or suspected case of an infectious disease a decision to refuse the pupil can be made, if ‘in your reasonable judgement’, it is necessary to protect other pupils and staff from possible infection.
Children and young people who have a positive test result for COVID-19 should not attend the setting for 3 days after the day of the test.
Students should stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day they took the test. They can return after 3 days, if they feel well and do not have a high temperature.
If unwell (particularly in the event of a high temperature) the advice remains to stay at home and avoid contact with other people. If well enough then work from home if you can. Discuss options with your line manager.
See public health advice People with symptoms of a respiratory infection including COVID-19 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and What to do if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) or symptoms of COVID-19 - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
Where a student is unwell at school they will be sent home or parents asked to collect.
