St. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School - September 2025 Admissions Criteria - Consultation

The Governors of St. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School recently agreed to propose a change to our admissions criteria for 2025 / 2026. As part of the consultation it is important that we reach as many interested parties within the local area and invite them to comment if they so choose. Written comments should be sent to Mrs Florence Zakari-Ayankoya, Chair of Admissions Committee by Monday 11th December 2023, Florence Zakari-Ayankoya florence.zakari-ayankoya@stteresas.herts.sch.uk

Written comments may also be sent by post to the school:

You may also reply to the consultation by phoning St Teresa’s School office on 020 8953 3753.

Please find attached a copy of the Proposed School Admissions Policy 2025-2026 and the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) 2025-2026.

The change we are proposing to make to our admission criteria is to amend the definitions and explanations in the following paragraphs:

  • Age of Admission and Deferral of Places
  • Summer born children (1st April 2021 – 31st August 2021) – Entry to Reception
  • Children Out of Year Group (except applications for reception from summer born)

These paragraphs have been highlighted in Red in the proposed policy.

All other criteria remain the same as previous years. The Supplementary Information Form remains the same.

We thank you for any assistance you can give us with this request.

Mrs Florence Zakari-Ayankoya
Chair of Admissions Committee and on behalf of the Governing body.
